The cost of using our stud dogs depends on the effort required to achieve the breeding.  

Generally the costs involved are as follows : 

1. Brucellosis  testing done at your vet within 90 days of breeding if you choose live cover. ( Varies according to your Vet)

2. A “per visit”  fee $200. When it’s time, it’s time !
This fee is a handling / appt fee and is due at each visit whether a breeding is achieved or not.  Our commitment is to show up , rain or shine and devote up to 2 hours to achieve the goal.

3. One time semen charge. $400. This is due at time of first tie. 

- AKC premium $200. This is only due if you intend to sell the puppies as registered or advertise them as AKC sired.

Example 1 

Scenario : LIVE COVER NON REGISTERED BREEDING IN 2 MEETINGS

1. Your vet charges $150 for brucellosis test.
2. The pair ties at first meeting $200 meet fee+ $400 - one time semen fee. Total due at this meeting = $600 

3. The pair ties at second meeting. $200 due. 

4. No registration info is exchanged. $0 

Total stud fee is $800 Plus vet lab fee for Brucellosis test.

Example 2 

Scenario: AI FOR AKC LITTER  REQUIRING 3 MEETINGS TO ACHIEVE 2 INSEMINATIONS

1. No brucellosis is required $0

2. First meeting. Bitch is not ready and refuses to stand for AI. Total due at this meeting is $200. 

3. Second meeting fee $200.  Female is receptive and AI is achieved.  $400 Semen fee and $200 registration premium.  ($800 due at this meeting) 

4. Third meeting. Female is receptive and AI is achieved. Semen and AKC fees paid previously. $200 visit fee due at this meeting.

Total expense for this breeding / 3 visits = $1200 

If a litter of 2 pups is not achieved we will offer a repeat breeding for the cost of visit fees only.  The semen fee will be waived.
